Privacy policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Van Lustre (a business name of Cameron James Pitts, ABN 24 424 818 877) respects your privacy. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Why we collect it

To quote and book your job, do the work, take payments, contact you about your booking, handle complaints, meet our legal and tax obligations, and improve our service. If you agree, we'll also send occasional reminders and offers, such as a rebook reminder. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or "unsubscribe".

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information.

Overseas storage

Some of our providers store data outside Australia. Google may store data in the United States and other countries. If we use Tally or Stripe later, Tally stores form responses in the European Union and Stripe may store data outside Australia. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.

Security and how long we keep it

Information is kept in password-protected accounts that only we can access. We keep job records for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet tax record-keeping rules (generally 5 years), then delete or de-identify them. Job photos not needed for records or a dispute are deleted after 12 months.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it, by emailing vanlustre.au@gmail.com. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
